Ford Bronco Legacy
After the widespread success of the Jeep CJ and International Scout platforms, Ford fired back with a compact 4WD SUV of its own in 1966–the Bronco. First announced in 1965, this impressive platform hit showrooms the following September, boasting three separate body styles–roadster, wagon, and half-cab–and a slew of features that rivaled its competitors, like solid axles, a compact body, and a torquey inline 6-cylinder powerplant.
After 12 years of producing a generally-unchanged platform, the Bronco received its first generational update, which saw the model stray from its compact SUV roots. The new 1978 Ford Bronco moved from a small, dedicated 4-wheeler to a rugged, full-size 4WD SUV that stole inspiration from the best-selling F-Series. Though wildly popular for years, the Bronco lost momentum in the mid-nineties. After five generations and thirty years of production, Ford discontinued the Bronco in 1996.
But after a 25-year hiatus, Ford executives gave the Bronco another lease at life in its sixth generation! Unlike later, full-size generations, the 2021+ Bronco harkens back to the model’s original design, sporting similar aesthetics and a compact form factor; however, the sixth generation Bronco doesn’t just look the part. Ford’s new compact SUV features a highly-capable, off-road tuned suspension, especially when optioned with off-road-centric packages like the Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Raptor!
Don’t trust our opinion? Maybe you’ll listen to the countless publications that’ve awarded the 2021+ Bronco such prestigious honors as:
The 2022 North American Utility of the Year Award
SEMA – 2021 4x4 of the Year Award
Autotrader.ca – 2022 Best Vehicle for Adventure

Tech and Features
Considering the significant time jump from the fifth generation Bronco’s discontinuation to the sixth generation’s release, the 2021+ Bronco is, technologically, leaps and bounds ahead of even its newest predecessor, released in 1996. New Broncos trade analog gauges for full digital displays, tape players for massive touch screens and wireless CarPlay, and a manual transfer case and hubs for Ford’s G.O.A.T. system, allowing your Bronco to alternate terrain modes with the press of a button! Other impressive features include:
Ford’s Trail Turn Assist system
Push-button Trail Control system
Trail 1-Pedal Drive (auto braking)
Sync 4 infotainment system
360-degree off-road camera
